cant turn off line in-input monitoring

I've got a sblive value 4670 with the 3533 driver. I'm using Cakewalk sonar and I'm trying to use input monitoring(with amplitude etc) but cant seem to get rid of the line in signal. The input monitoring seems to work ok and i can get 5ms latency but even if i mute the line in signal(AC97) the original signal(unprocessed)is still there in the background behind the processed signal. This all worked fine with the 3529 driver. Has anyone got any ideas, is it a routing problem?

Switch your output jacks... front and rear and see what happens.

Ok, are you recording with ASIO? If so, disconnect the 2 first prolog outputs from the xrouting, but keep the connections from prolog to ASIO inputs (in EPILOG) and it'll work.

Doesn't seem to solve the prob. The problem seems to be that the ac97 record slider doesn't seem to do anything. If I turn off ac97 in 'ins n outs' the line in mutes and unmutes ok 'but' i can't get a record signal into sonar because the ac97 'ins n outs' slider controls the record in level. This gives me a record signal 'but' the original (through/unprocessed) signal can still be heard in the background even though the 'line in' is muted. It must just be a routing problem but don't really know how to suss it?????????

l'm having the same problem, ie not being able to mute the line in and just here the output ie from amplitube.

Also where can you adjust the amount of line level in. It seems like when using asio none of the faders work anyway for me at the moment...

homer if you have found a solution to your own problem or mine could you please post it.

that problem is trivial... open "kX DSP" and break wires coming from prolog pins 0/1 to routing...
(and DO NOT use any faders on ac97 page of course)

i've tried that and it works to a point. The 'direct'(line in) signal isn't there any more(tested by increasing latency and getting just the delayed signal) but an unprocessed signal still bleeds through when using a plugin. eg when i use amplitude or some other amp sim or use a mic and use a compression or reverb plugin-i'm hearing the processed signal as i should but underneath is an unprocessed signal bleeding through-in other words not all the signal is being processed.it's a bit like 'tapping ' the signal with an auxilliary before the processing and rejoining the two afterwards. This may just the way sonar 2.2 accesses the asio driver?????????? Is cubase like this?
