Someone please help me with stereomix

I have no idea where my problem is, but i cant record the stereo mix.
What im trying to do is:
- in cubase i have some midi recordings that i need to record to audio.
- to do this i need to record the playback of the vsti playing these midi files.

but i cant get the bloody thing to work!

Ive got the AC97 sliders pushed all the way up on the Input/Output and Recording sections of the KX mixer. And in the AC97 section i have stereomix selected in the dropdown menu, and everything else is muted... from my logic, this is how it should be set up.... but its still not working.

is there some DSP setting i can use to make it work, or get around the problem?

Please post any ideas you may have, because im desperate!

Just select the parts you want from your VSTi channel, mute all other tracks, use the EXPORT - MIXDOWN function and you will have the VSTi track imported as a regular AUDIO track... Search the forum about this because I have explained how to achieve that at least 1000 times... hehe
