So the KX drivers are way kooll (cant get over my ranting, hehe)

anywaz... although im getting 5ms latency while using VST instruments... there are times when i watn to use the Creative onboard General Midi bank.. while i had the creative drivers installed. i could select something called Creative Synth A or something.. and then go bout drawing my notes and all... now with the KX drivers on.. the only thing that gives out sound is the Microsoft sound mapper... and that too with a good ammount of latency. Help. I have installed my creative midi sound bank.

You must load a soundfont in KXmixer to have this exact same functionality that you get with original drivers. You probably have some *.sf2 gm banks in your pc (search for them) and you've also got them in your original drivers CD. Just load them up and you'll be able to work with KX Synth A and KX Synth B just like you used to do.

It worked! but there is a small glitch.... inspite of the SF loaded.. my VST softwareat times fails to play anything.. at times it does... however.. i find that the sound quality of the 8MB SF file to be too poor in comparison to the microsoft sound bank. The problem is that the macrosoft bank plays bak with a lotta latency, irrespective of my ASIO settings... anywaz to get around this..

Explain better what is happening with VST software... What software is that? Have you select KX synth 1 or 2 as your MIDI output device? Give more details...
