Problems with live drive aux2 and asio

Hi guys,

Finally ive got my live drive and again a problem...i have no issues connecting something to the ac97-input and getting it to work via asio...i am using kx 3445 with profx 3.10

but u just cant get the live drive to do anything...am i doing something wrong in the dsp? i have connected the aux2 on prolog with asio 12/13 on epilog but there is no sound in any recording program (i tried kristal, fl studio 8 and cubase sx 2.2) the same on the line2/mic2 input...i'd rather solved that by using the profx-plugins, for they are easier to configure in my opinion...but i just didn't find the right option for selecting them on ADC...when i use the SRC-plugin with mic2/line2 or aux2 selected and ASIO/kxlt there is no sound either...

the drive is working with the original creative-driver...so what am i doing wrong?

any ideas?

thanks a lot

Re: Problems with live drive aux2 and asio

prolog (using the sliders on the bottom of the Ins and Outs page) or ProFX:SRC can be used (ProFX:ADC is for AC97 based inputs).

The first thing you should do is test for the signal in the DSP using peak plugins (i.e. you are never going to get a signal in your recording application, if you do not have a signal in the DSP).

If you are not able to get a signal from the Live! Drive in the DSP, verify that kX detected the drive bay. Open kX's "About..." window, scroll down to the "Hardware / Software configuration" section and see what it says for "DB Name:"

AW: Problems with live drive aux2 and asio

Hi...

now it is working...dont know what the problem was actually...i resetted the drivebay via console (dbr) and it worked...now i've got some issues with mapping the channels on asio, which is sometimes kind of freaky but these are beta-issues i think (it works with a configuration that is fine for me...)

Note that with some card models ProFX:ASIO might uses a different channel ordering from what epilog uses.
