ASIO on Vista x64 (Ableton Live in 32-bit)

Is it possible? I have vista 64-bit but Ableton Live doesn't have a version in 64-bit.. So that rules out the 64-bit 3546 alpha drivers...

Can't I install 32-bit drivers on vista 64 thus allowing me to have ASIO?

well, there's nothing you can do except moving to a 32-bit Windows or waiting for a 64-bit version of Ableton Live.

you could bridge ASIO via asio4all. works fine for me. latency isn't top notch but still far better than better than MME.

I use FL Studio a lot and since I'm using x64 I guess, there's no KX Asio listed. You mentioned bridging via Asio4All but I don't really know how I'd do that. In Asio4All, all I can really appear to do is select the KX Driver and that's about it.

as i mentioned in general 3550 thread, the only way to use 32bit application in 64bit operating system is for Eugene to make 64bit ASIO driver support the 32bit applications. no other workaround (asio4all is not really an answer to our problems)

cheers

Hi there!

I just want to know if there is any possibility for future versions of Kx to run 32 bit asio host in 64 bit Windows version. (If it will be working in Windows 7 64 bit with older, 32 bit applications such as Reason 4).

I am asking because its important for me, and there could be some technical limitations, or maybe newer version would be never done.

But if there is any chance I will wait.

Greetings from Poland,
Ukaef.
