DSP help for Recording DJ Setup with MIC
I've been using KX for well over 12 months now and have the following setup, using for DJing:
Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS Packard Bell Laptop KX 3549 driver with Pro FX DJDecks I've been able to quite easily set up the DSP for playback and MIC monitoring. I now need to record the MIC signal and having difficulty sorting this out. I've attached 2 x screenshots; 1 of my ASIO control panel, and the other of my DSP. I recently read a post that stated ASIO recording was only possible using a 48KHz sampling frequency and so tried to change the ASIO setting to 16+16 but this did not work. Hope someone can help. |

Re: DSP help for Recording DJ Setup with MIC
Sorry but I am not following your setup, can you explain it in more detail?
In your DAW, you have 2/3 and 4/5 as outputs and 14/15 as input. In the DSP, you have 3 SRC plugins, but only one of them shows what it is set to (and nothing is labeled in MX8). Where is your MIC signal in that config (I can only guess that it is SRC [4], and your MIC is connected to the MIC2 input?)? You do not have any plugins loaded in the DSP to feed a signal to the speakers... How are you monitoring with that config? What exactly is not working? Re: DSP help for Recording DJ Setup with MIC
What I want to be able to do is to Configure the DSP so that I can record an ASIO input
Src 4 is the Mic input Src 2 is the Main (speaker output) (2/3) Src 5 is the Headphone Monitor signal (4/5) I have Src 2 running out into an external line mixer -> Speakers I have Src 5 assigned to my headphones (for monitoring) I'm using the proFX plugin so ASIO 0/1 are front L/R and Asio 2/3 rear L/R are signals straight to the speakers. I'm using a Vestax VCI-100 Midi controller to manipulate the audio. Every thing works, but... The program/s that I use to DJ (DJ Decks or Traktor) have a feature whereby I can record the Master output (in this case ASIO 2/3), however I am unable to record the mic signal along with it. I was in the middle of fiddling around trying to find a solution when I took the screenshots, so some of the numbers may not match up (btw, the record signal of the mx6 is routed to ASIO 14/15 (set to pro FX winMM recording). Hope this isn't too confusing.

Re: DSP help for Recording DJ Setup with MIC
OK, I think I understand... I guess you renamed ProFx:kXlt to Asio?
For ASIO input, you need to load (and connect your source signal to) the ProFx:ASIO plugin. |
