I have an Audigy Platinum EX. I need to get a 5.1 Dolby Digitally encoded (ac3) signal from my Coaxial or Optical out. I have Windows 2000 Professional Installed nd KX driver version 3533b with Fix.
I set up my ASIO audio production sopftware (Nuendo) so that: FR is sent to FXBus0 of KX Driver FL - FXBus1 SR - FXBus2 SL - FXBus3 C - FXBus4 SW - FXBus5 Then I connected FXBus to XRoute to the following inputs: FXBus0 (FR) - frIn FXBus1 (FR) - flIn FXBus2 (FR) - srIn FXBus3 (FR) - slIn FXBus4 (FR) - cIn FXBus5 (FR) - swIn Then i set the Surrounder to 5.1 with bass redirection at 200Hz. I left the rest of the connection (from XRoute to epilog) as default (with no change). Then i set the Control Panel|Multimedia to 5.1 sourroud. when i connect audigy's coaxial outto my 5.1 Jazz Surround speakers i get nothing, the speaker decoder behaves like i am sending an analog signal to its coaxial in. i connected my cd player directly to its coaxial in and it did the same thing. then i connected my DVD player and everything is OK, i can hear a 5.1 surround and DTS. What can i do about it? There is a dropdown list in the mixer window. it says "ac3 passthrough". there are SPDIF1, SPDIF2, SPDIF3 and off. i get nothing with either one selected. i tried cghanging the sample rate too but nothing changes. I would really appreciate for help. Thanks a lot in advance Toka |
