Sonar and muting line-in
Hello there
im not quite sure in which board this went in, so im just taking a guess that it goes here. i just instaled the kX drivers and im loving the endless possiblities that i have been exposed to. but i can't seem to find a way to fix the problem i have. In sonar, i want to record my guitar thru the line-in, but i want to mute it from play back so that i won't hear anything thru the speakers while i record. i selected the line in from the recording screen, and muted the line in from the ins'n'outs screen. when i mute it, no signal is being sent to sonar. Sonar is the only program that does this. i can do this perfectly in SoundForge. i was wondering if there was something to be done in the routing window... im not sure if it is an ASIO problem or not... can anyone help? -spfreak |

if you are using ASIO in Sonar -- browse the forum for ASIO details (the line-in is not controlled by line-in slider in ASIO mode)
if you are using WinMM/Sonar's Kernel streaming driver -- there should be no difference between, say, SoundForge and Sonar /E |
