Recording SPDIF IN in Cubase SX v1.03 is possible???
Hi
Im trying to record my guitar on Cubase SX using the digital output from my guitar processor GT 6. When I plug it into the SPDIF IN of my SB Live!Drive, the I/O Status is: spdif A: unused spdif B: 109204 Freq: 44092; R; S; spdif C: unused or same as B I can hear my guitar playing through the speakers, I can record it on Sound Forge (also using the SPDIF IN), but on Cubase I cant just get it to record, I cant even make the signal to reach Cubase (I hear it but no signal on channel status bar). Can anyone help me on this? Do I need to change anything on the kx DSP or kx Router? What setup do I need on the kx Mixer? I read lots of threads on this forum, read most of the manual but still I cant get the job done... Is it possible to record SPDIF IN on cubase SX??? Cheers! |

kX In 2/3 should be responsible for that
enable the spdif in via kX Mixer's 'ins & outs' page -- you should hear your gitar now (and should be able to record it via Cubase, too) if you wish to disable monitoring, open kX DSP and disconnect prolog's in2/3 from xrouting /E |

Hi!
To record SPDIF B in Cubase via ASIO it is necessary to connect SPDIF B (optical/coax) in the DSP-window with the corresponding ASIO-Input, that you want to use. Then you have to activate this Input in the Input-control-panel in Cubase (under Audio/Inputs), so that the green light is on. And after that you should select this activated Input with the downpressed control key and the left (or was it the right) mouse key in the channel-strip of your record-channel (the little lightyellow rectangular called IN L or IN R or so). Normally in Cubase only ASIO 0/1 is active (factory setting). Good luck! TravelRec.
