VST plugins latency

Is it normal to experience clicks and glitches on the piano when I done all the tweaks I read about in the faq doc

Is my pc too slow?

P4 1.8 asus p4b533vm
768 ddr 333
SB Live Platinum with kx project

What hardware changes would help VST plugins latency?

No, your PC is fine. What latency are you using? 10ms is good enough for piano playing. Also, check if there aren't any softwares running "hidden" in you tray...

could this be a probleme

I can't get an eternal signal, When I play the piano for example, the second I lift my fingers off the keyboard, the sound shuts off completly. So what I do is I jam the fist note of my keyboard down so I can get an eternal signal.

Hi!

Seems the piano plugin receives the MIDI NOTE OFF message as a valid signal. Try to deactivate the check box "Use Note Off Event" in the global setting window in cubase (under file / settings or so, I use the german version and this point is called "Vorgaben").

Cheers!

There's a problem with midi in one of the latest version. Try switiching to version 3535RC1 (which is the newer one, fixed) and see if that happens.

Thanks I got the note off event.

But I still get clicks and glitchs when I use the sustain pedal

What do you suggest about that?
