sblive, cubase vst 5 can record audio
I've got a sb live (ct4832), and cubase vst 5.
I've installed latest kx drivers I can hear and record midi incubase I can hear the mic but not record it in cubase (the VU meters don't move). I can record the mic in other applications. I've tried many many things (spent 4 hours on that kx DSP), never works. I've looked on this forum also, and didn't found any useful thing. HELP!! |

The secret is not in the DSP for what you want. Go into the AC97 page of kx mixer and select MIC in the dropdown menu. Go into the REC page and turn AC97 volume all the way up (and also master volume in the same page). Does it work?

Man, re-check everything and re-install the drivers. It must work. I used to have the exact same card as your and it worked fine this way, so you are doing something wrong probably...

Daniel, could you please tell me what settings did you use, in kx dsp and pretty much everywhere else.
In Cubase as well, if you could tell me what you did... I would hit my wall less :-) Thanks |
