Slow to start playback in CubaseSX?

Playback is delayed in CubaseSX, it can take 6 seconds or more before you can hear anything.

Futhermore, audio is out of time.

Tried setting latency lower and higher, makes no difference.

VST instruments are fine though?

Any ideas?

Only have 128mb RAM. Need to be 110% sure this is the problem.
