Problem with Sonar 3 and ASIO
I've just switched Sonar 3 to ASIO mode and when I try to launch it now, it gives an error message "There are no Creative audio products installed and running on the system that support ASIO". When I open a song containing audio tracks Sonar hangs...
Does anybody know this problem and is it a bug or am I doing something wrong? I'm using a AMD 2000+ system containing 3 lives and 1 audigy and the latest beta of the driver. This is my hardware / software configuration: ----Hardware / Software configuration--------------- Driver naam:kX Audio Driver (Debug) Driver datum: Nov 9 2003 23:06:09 Driver versie: 5.10.00.3536 - debug DB naam:LiveBay2 SB0092 10k2 [a800] PCI Information: Device: 41102 Subsys: 531102 ChipRev: 3 Kaartmodel is '10k2' Card has MPU device Kaartmodel is '5.1' Card HAS AC97 codec Codec name: TriTech TR A5/CT1297 TAT 3D Extension: No 3D Stereo Enhancement Codec is 1.0 compliant Capabilities[0] : DAC resolutions : -16-bit- ADC resolutions : -16-bit- Ext Capabilities [0]: Port: a800 Irq: 0x8(8) Playback buffer: 20a0 Record buffer: 4000 Number of AC3 buffers: 4 Tank memory: 256 kb GSIF buffer: 256 samples OS version: [2 5 1 Service Pack 1; 2 5 1 Service Pack 1; 156 148] ---------------------------------------------------- |

you have to unregister the ctasio.dll file. Sounds like you still have creative's asio driver on your computer. Just go to your system32 folder under a command shell and type regsvr32 -unreg ctasio.dll

I've tried this and now sonar doesn't give errors anymore, but... it doesn't recognise my soundcards either... I do have tried to reinstall kX, but it doesn't make any difference. What could be the problem in this case?

You can try using the global reset on KX
