Hello All!
In device Mng. I do remove the Creative drivers, also uninstalled Creative Center and Launcher. After restart the S/B driver do install again. What do I miss? Can't find no info on the web, KX don't tell you how to uninstall the S/B drivers. I have a Dual-boot system. Win98se and WinXP. I try win98se first. Anny help from somebody? Herb |

Well, i'm not sure about this, but you could uninstall, then boot into safe mode. I don't think hardware gets installed in safe mode automatically.
There might be some way to tell windows not to install hardware automatically in normal bootup, i don't know though. |

after you've removed the creative driver and before you reboot, go to your windows\inf\ directory:
rename wdma10k1.inf -> wdma10k1.inf.old rename wdma10k1.pnf -> wdma10k1.pnf.old if windows still installs it every time you boot then it is looking for drivers on the web, there is a way to turn this off which i am not sure of, but you can always disconnect your internet until the kx drivers are installed. hope that helps |

Uninstalling SB Live
Hi. I have the same problem. I can't uninstall SB live under Windows XP ... it keeps installing itself automatically as soon as windows starts ... even in safe mode ... please help !!!

1. Go to c:\windows\inf\ directory and search for oem files which have in them Creative hardware listed...delete those files.
2. Use Driver Cleaner to clean Creative and Kx Audio. 3. Delete c:\windows\system32\ReinstallBackups folder Reboot and it should be detected as Multimedia Device. |
