Hardware:
PIII 450 at Asus P2B-F mainboard, 128mb RAM, SB Live! Value Software: Newly instaled Windows 98 SE, Cubasis VST 4.0 instaled from original CD So... I have problem ...After Win 98 instalation I've install KX Drivers vers. 5.10.0.3536. Then I've made everything like it was shown on this page: http://au.geocities.com/kxcubase/ When I'm trying to record something in Cubasis VST 4.0 using my MIDI keyboard I can't hear anything while playing. MIDI Input indicator in Cubasis is lightning so MIDI is working. When I'm listening recorded this way track I can hear it, but there is a lot of noises (something like distortion). Problem with distortion-noises is also when i'm listening other session-tracks (eg. tutorial song from Cubasis). I don't know what to do .Please help! Thanks for answer. Adam |

Did you load any soundfont? kX driver doesn't load anyone by default, so you have to go to kX soundfont menu and... There are 2 or 3 soundfonts in the original creative CD. About the 'distortion'. First of all you should check if the ASIO latency is to low. Look for it in menu 'Settings/ASIO control Panel. Start with a high value and if the noise disappear try decreasing it. 21 ms. should be a good latency for your system. Don't forget to use 'Reset Global Settings' in case of mess. I hope it helps.
