No input sound in Cubase

Hi all,

after reading carefully the threads with many suggestions to fix the input-problem in cubase, istill have no sound on the input of cubase when i use the kxproject-ASIO-Driver. With MME or DirectX i hav the signal but on the cost of a latency of a millenium ;-((((((

I tried all the hints with the routing, only i could not change the ACPI on my XP-Machine to "Standard-PC(APM)" (i tried many times but it didnt work.

Has anyone the same problem or solved this (or am i in the need of installing XP on the scratch without ACPI...but will this solve the problem???)

Thanks,

JOhannes

Hi!

Be sure that you´ve selected kx ASIO - then set the sample rate on ASIO control panel to 48kHz (record only works with 48kHz!!!) and then save your template. Reload it and check if the desired ASIO inputs are active. Check also the DSP connections between prolog and ASIO on Epilog. Check your hardware for full acceleration (in Multimedia and DirectX too). Activate finally the right input in your cubase-audio-track and try to record something. Use the channel-strip to check for incoming signals...

Greetings!

Re: No input sound in Cubase

you probably need to set up cubase for input ASIO channels enabled - Cubase 3 had none enabled by default - I presume its the same in Cubase 4. Consult the cubase manual for ASIO channel setup for specific instructions, and notice they are per project settings - so its a good idea to make a template otherwise you have to follow those instructions for every song you start to make.
