just a short question
Just a quicky: on Audigy 2 ZS (or any other audigy) is any resampling done when just playing a stream with ASIO 44.1KHz?
If no resampling is done then I can put away all resamplers and crap and just use the ASIO plugin for foobar2000 and playback clean 16/44.1 |

yes, it is
set your player to 16/48 and use software SRC and read our guide dealing with playback/recording (www.kxproject.com) /E |

I've read it through before and it doesn't state it very clearly: "ASIO and GSIF interfaces currently operate at 16/48 (also at 16/44.1 for ASIO, playback only). There will be a separate ASIO driver for 24/96 playback and recording in the future (of course, for Audigy2-only based cards). "
that's all the info about ASIO. but now I know, thanks for the help |

ehehe, I just changed to kernel streaming with 24 padded to 32bit and 192KHz with ochtans resampler plugin at top resampling quality.
And the HQ device of course. Guess this is the best I can get right now. |
