44.1 and ASIO Recording

I have noticed that ASIO recording does not work with 44.1 Khz only with 48 Khz in my Soundblaster Live 5.1! Playback is fine with very low latency on 44.1 but when trying to record, programs using the ASIO inputs limit the inputs to just two (that do not record anything) or can not initialise the inputs at all. On 48 Khz everything works fine.

Is this a hardware thing or maybe in the future this problem will get fixed ?

Thanx in advance

Yeah I know about this hardware limitation but same thing was said over playback in 44.1 some time ago but Eugene has done his magic and let us actually use the Asio driver in 44.1 for playback... I wonder if he can make the damn thing work as a recorder too on 44.1 not just 48.

May the force be with him on this

i don't think its possbile ,due to the latency resampling would add to the process…
