reason rewired into cubase sx problem
i've been having this weird problem since i installed the kx drivers. when i rewire reason into cubase sx, and hit play in reason, nothing happens until i switch back to cubase. then if i switch back to reason, it freezes again. it actually freezes while loading until i switch to cubase, then it continues on. i've set up the routing as described in here but it had no effect. any ideas? it didn't do it with the original drivers.

Try checking to see if creative's asio drivers are still showing up in the asio selection panel of Cubase or Reason... Also, after I installed KX I uninstalled Cubase's asio drivers as well. So the only Asio drivers I have to choose it KX... For some reason doing this stopped alot of weird random error's I'd gotten.
To unregister the creative and Cubase asio drivers, just run "regsvr32.exe /u ctasio.dll" in your system32 folder and the same regsvr32.exe /u against the dll's in cubase's asio folder. Usually in the "Program Files/Steinberg/asio" folder. If that doesnt fix your problem. Check your version of the rewire.dll.. which should be at version 1.4.7.74 about 212kb. Keep in mind, there may be 2 rewire.dll files 1) "system" folder and 2) "system32" folder. |
