Lowered my Asio to 2ms
Hi ppl,
I re-installed windowsXP last week, and i was having asio dropouts @ 2ms ASIO. I did not have this with my previous Setup. Well, after some investigations, it turned out to be that this time around i installed my PC as an ACPI pc not as a standard one. All i did was to update the drive to a normal PC, et voila, 2ms again in most ASIO apps ( including Traktor ) and smooth as silk. Hope this helps! |

hmm I can go 5.33 for guitar and VSTi's but not with BFD drum module
BFD requires 10.66 ms, it's ok, just seems slightly delayed on guitar, different feeling Any suggestions on tweaking? My system runs clean and optimal (services tweaked, nothing running in background, individual IRQ's, Background Service tweak, etc) I've heard a network (broadband here) can interfere with latency, is that correct? My sys spec: Athlon XP 2400+ 1 gig DDR PC2700 Western Digital 80 Gig 2mb buffer 7200 rpm (bout 30% used) Geforce 3 Ti/500 SB Live 5.1 KX v35.37 Thx Last edited by Jimi Junior; Jul 31, 2004 at 07:22 PM. |

Hi,
I have a relativly slow PC. Asus P4T coupled with a 1.4Ghz P4 and 512MB RDRAM. The only point of my post was that not using ACPI mode ( only using Standard mode ) will lower your latency where ACPI is not required. Thanks. |
