Nforce2 Vs Live! or Audigy

First Sorrry ABout my English..

Recently i have the opotunity to test a "Asus a7n266 with a Athlon 1700+ 256Mb DDR 266 &WInXP" , wich has the Nvidia audio on board, and i find (on a very limited test ) that Tracktion Works on this machine VERY WELL with 2ms of latency , with this software on My Machine ( INTEL 850GB 256 (800) RAMBUS (RIMM) Pentium 4 1.7 533FSB +SBLIVE SB220 &WIn2K ) can Handle without noise more than 10ms Of Latency .

CAN A AUDIGY OUTPERFORM THIS , or may i swith to AMD Only to USE the Amazing Nforce2 APU ? or i should say the AMAZING ASIO DRIVERS ?

By the way , The rest of the task (any) except PROAUDIO (what is My Intention) is OUTPERFORMED BY My THE PENTIUM 4 ...

stick with the p4 system… optimise your system (there are various guides on the net)… also perhaps upgrading to windows XP will help you improve latency
also try kX 3538 alpha - users have reported a lower minimum latency - i myself have managed to get 10ms from a pentium 2 300.

and 10ms of latency is what you would expect from a hardware synthesizer… so there will not be any real downside to it

LMAO....personally I'm getting an AudioPhile card.
They are a bit more expensive, but the Crap that Labs creates is pure unadulterated junk.
As for your on-board...that's worse than crap labs.

creative cards can be quite useful when coupled with something as powerful as kX
