xp and user privileges...
hi guys,
i've been using the kx asio drivers happily on xp for about 18 months and everything's been fine. however, i've always used xp in adminsitrator mode and, for security, i've realised that this is a bad thing. my problem is as follows: if i log into windows as admin, vaz modular picks up the sblive, which is great and what it should do. however, if i log in as a regular user without admin rights, vaz modular will not see the asio device. it appears to be working for winamp, however... does anyone know what's going on here? it's driving me up the wall! thanks in advance, ray x |

afaik you have to have admin rights to access ASIO hardware. Winamp uses the default directsound device to play audio
