I'm trying to set my machine up to be able to mix in Quadro (4 channel) without a sub. I'm using Logic Audio Platinum and Kx on 'SBlive! value'.
I'm having issues trying to get seperate front and rear channels out from Logic. I've gone through all the outputs in Logic's surround setup window and: nothing. I have tried 4.1 and 5.1 setups in the Kx Speaker Setup window. I'm running out of ideas. Please help me someone. I am so terribly keen to bust out some surround mixes. I'll give my first-born..... Maybe not, but thanks anyway 8 ) |

make sure the windows sounds control panel is set to 5.1 (advanced speaker settings)
make sure the kX surrounder is in 5.1 ( i see you already have) in the kX router, set asio out 2 to fxbus 6, and asio out 3 to fxbus 7

Thanks for the help, but I'm still having problems. The Front Channels work well and fade as the sound is panned to the rear. But the rear channels always pump out sound.

do you want sound from the rear? or do you not want to hear it at all?

Sorry, I musn't have been clear. I want the rear channels to only be heard when I pan something to them.
At the moment the rear speakers are constantly outputing sound, even when the source is panned hard to the front. |

in the kX surrounder set the speakers to 5.1 and the surround mode to on
in the kX router set ASIO outs 0/1 to fxbus 4/5 in the kX router set ASIO outs 2/3 to fxbus 6/7 this *should* work, please post your results here
