Is it possible to record from two line-in sources?

I have a (presumably) simple question that I've been unable to answer by reading the documentation.

On my card (CT4832 10k1) there are inputs called "TAD, CD, and AUX". I soldered jacks to them to hook up sound. They all have 1/8" jacks on them now.

What I can't figure out is- can I record more than one input simultaneously?
I can easily get the line in working with Profx, but I can't seem to figure out how to do multiple inputs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the hard work, too. KX is a pretty wonderful project.

I remember asking the same question, and I believe the answer was no.

Yes you can. Go into AC97 page of the mixer and pan one of those inputs hard left and the other one hard right, increasing both volumes to 0db. In that same page choose STEREO MIX in the drop-down menu. Go into INS AND OUTS page of the mixer and enable and increase AC97 fader. You can then route the AC97 signal (prolog 0 and 1) to 2 different ASIO inputs (epilog) and there you go. If you're not using ASIO that'll still work. Just go into REC page of the mixer and increase AC97 REC fader... Done!

You can record 2 seperate different *Mono* sources to seperate tracks.
(as Daniel just descibed)

There is only one ac97 device on you card, so you can *not*
record 2 different *stereo* sources to *seperate* tracks.

AC97 device has multiple analog inputs, but only 1 (stereo) ADC.

Thanks very much. I suspected that the AC97 device was just one device.
Thanks for the hard work and the fast response.

Maleman, go look in the "general discussion" forum; there's a sticky thread DJ_Stick posted about getting more inputs on your card. With an audigy, you can get 4 analog inputs with one card; with two audigies, you could get 8. I currently have 8 inputs with one audigy and two Live!'s (SB0220) and it works like a charm.

Good luck!
