ASIO & Acid5.0 / recording

Ok so I set up acid 5.0 to use ASIO, and it sound just wonderful..

but when you render the file to a wav or mp3 it sounds like dirt. (How it used to sound before I used the ASIO)

also, recording in Cool Edit Pro 2.0 sounds like how it used to sound before I set up ASIO in acid 5.0. Like crap in other words.

Could someone please explain what is going on here? I want ASIO workin for everything, not just Acid 5.0's playback. Thanks....

yup.

i'm on a AMD Athlon 64 3200+ with 512 mb of DDR ram and a Soundblaster Live 5.1 card. If that helps any.

Latancey had nothing to do with it apparently, I can hear the playback fine and it sounds great. Rendering and Recording on the other hand seems to automatically use the older drivers ....

in the DSP, connect the AC97 left and right outputs of the Prolog module to the Rec left and right inputs on the Epilog
