lapotop card compatibile whith KX

Hi there,

I am going to buy a laptop for live act. I don't know what kind of card should I buy (I MEAN INTERNAL CARD OR CHIPSET INTEGRATED) which works with KX drivers.

Specifications of a couple of laptops I took into the account says, they have "SOUNDBLASTER PRO COMPATIBILE CARD". I don't know if they have EMU10k1/2 chips and I don't know if they are compatibile with KX drivers.

Does anyone know?

cheers,
joe chip

This is probably the wrong forum for this type of question. It would be better suited in the General Forum. In any case, SoundBlaster Pro is very old, and most soundcards thesedays, are SoundBlaster Pro compatible. This does not really tell you anything about the sound card at all. You really need to find out more information (i.e. Brand and Model Number) to be able to find out if it has a 10k1 or 10k2 chip and whether is will be compatible with kX.
