Snap, Crackle, Pop goes secondary outs

I have the KX drivers installed with two cards on my system. When using the primary out (0-1) on either card, the output is generally clean and true without any additional artifacts and I'm quite pleased with it. On the other hand, if I route through the secondary outs (7-8) on either card, I get snaps, crackles and pops in the output. I would really like to get two busses running cleanly. Any ideas on how to do this would be appreciated.
