SX3 Direct monitoring...HELP ME!

Hi guys, i'm new here, this's my first post !!!

I use kx driver with my sblive1024 and cubase VST (5.1) for long time....
This drivers really works fine, direct monitoring too!

But now i've a problem with my cubase sx3!
In the direct monitoring box (in the VST preferences) i can't check anything ...it's grey ... it's seems that my card is not to be able to takes the advantages of direct monitoring but, like i said before in the cubaseVSTi i play my guitar with any effect!!!!
So i can't ear my effected-guitar under cubase SX!

I read all of tutorials or help for this problem but my direct-monitoring box still remain unchecked!

Please help me guys and...sorry for my bad english...I'm Italian
