asio playing & recording @ same time?
A got a brand new mixer and I starded setting up all channels.
I have 3 sound cards. 5.1 NVIDIA (on motherboard) and two soundblasters 5.1 live. I am using nvidia (with nvidia asio) for exporting 3 traktor channels (deck A, deck B and headphones), one soundblaster (with asio4all) for exporting sound from reason and another soundblaster uses ableton (with kx asio). Ableton is used as external effecter as mixer has that option. What I still need is something for recording my set. one input that can record and not necessary with low latency. I am confused with all that asios. Every program uses its asio, so I need another program for recording, but that one needs another asio, right? or how can I set a card that reason (for playback) is using for recording from input? I really hope that someone comes with an answer. and btw, what program do you recommend for recording in my situation? I need a small, simple, non greedy with system resource (especially CPU) and that can record in mp3. thank you in advance

Use Windows MME for recording, this works with every recording tool for Windows. Connect in kX DSP the output(s) you get from your programs directly (or over a mixer plugin) with the epilog RecL/RecR or if you use ProFX with WindowsMME pins. Select in the recording tool kX-Wave 0/1 as recording device and thatīs it. You may do a screenshot of your current setup so we can be more special to your needs. Recording tools you will find in the net, some of them for free.
