How to Route ASIO output to headphones...
Hi, I am using the kX ASIO driver with a Virtual DJ program called "Traktor DJ Studio" and was wondering if there is some easy way to route a pair of ASIO outputs to the kX "headphone inputs" so that what appears at the headphone outputs is different than what appears at the main speaker outputs...that would make it easy to choose the appropriate ASIO outputs as the "Monitor Mix" in this DJ program, where it is very helpful to be able to monitor a pair of outputs different than what is coming out of the main speakers, while you cue up the next song.
As I have things set up now, in this DJ program, I have ASIO outputs 2 and 3 chosen as the Main Mix outputs, and ASIO outputs 6 and 7 chosen as the Monitor Mix (headphone) outputs....this results in the two outputs of the Main Mix working correctly, and only containing the appropriate Main Mix song material...but the Monitor Mix contains both the song being cued up AND the song that is coming out of the Main outputs, when all that I want is the cued-up song to appear in the headphones, and none of the Main Mix's song. Sorry if this sounds very confusing to you...a basic description is that I am running two virtual DJ turntables and want to route the output of one "turntable" to the the main outputs and the other "turntable" to the headphones, and keep them nice and separate. The DJ program lets you choose from a list of the kX outputs for each of the Main and Monitor mixes. |

Hmm... try to connect fxbus6/7 directly to epilog6/7 (in "kX DSP")

Yes, that did exactly what i wanted...both sources are completely separate from each other in the outputs, too
Thanks, G. Szusz

T2 setup
Hi,
I had version 5.10.0.3528 untill some days ago when I installed kx drivers 5.10.0.3531. Everything went smoothly, but my settings are messed up, so I can't use separate outputs for Traktor DJ Studio. Previously I had setup like this: 4/5 - Master (connected to rear out) 6/7 - Headphones (connected to front out) 0/1 - default audio device (Windows): All sound from winamp, mediaplayer, etc. was played through 0/1, and it was possible to hear this either on headphones or on amplifier (on 4/5 AND 6/7). Can anyone tell me how do I do this kind of routing (if this is done with routing)? |

outs 6/7
...maybe all you have to do is reconnect FXBus6 and FXBus7 to (epilog)Headphones Left out6 and Headphones Right out7, under DSP in the KXMixer...

The simple way i think could be to set Surrounder to "SpkMode:5.1, SurroundMode:Copy" - this is somewhat compatible with 28 mode...
