SB audigy SPDIF

i'm sure this is something stupid i'm not doing.

I've got the optical output of the card feeding my reciever and have a satelite radio connected to the spdif input. The SPDIF input works fine and i can record from the satelite radio no problem as well as monitor it out of the SPDIF output.

However the SPDIF output is just looping the SPDIF input; its not passing any of the audio played on the machine (wavs, etc).

what am i missing here?

have you enabled spdif bypass?
