stereo recording in nuendo?
hey there.
i have a slight problem and would apreciate any help that you can give me. i have my sb live 5.1 platinum and i am trying to record in stereo through the line in2/mic 2 input. however it does not seem to work. nuendo's "in 2" does not seem to get any signal whatsoever. so here are my questions: is the line in2/mic2 input stereo? (i believe it refers to the in8 and in9 channels on the prolog object so it must be) if so, is there a way for me to check if anything is passing throygh my in9? does anyone know how i can route that to nuendo's in2? does the kx router have anything to do with that? i asume that the answer to this auestion will also be the answer to how can record from upto 6 sources simultaneously. if not, any hints are welcome. thanks in advance. Alexander Marinos. |

Nuendo is the same as Cubase sx.
Setup like this helpful guys site shows http://au.geocities.com/kxcubase/ That will give you 4 inputs. Also similarly connect Prolog 12 & 13 (Aux2 L&R) to Epilog Asio 4 & Asio 5 (remember to enable VST Inputs 'kx In 04' & 'kx In 05' in Nuendo) Now you have 6 inputs! *note music programs seem to switch around the kxAsio inputs for some strange reason with this card. Therefore the resulting inputs will be as follows: AC97(micIn/LineIn) L&R= IN 5 & IN 6 (this is how nuendo/cubase Label them) AuxIn2 L&R = IN 12 & IN 13 LineIn2/MicIn2 L&R = IN 14 & IN 15 Use the following VST Outputs in Nuendo/CubaseSx: Front L & R = Kx out 04 Rear L & R = Kx out 06 Centre/Sub = Kx out 08 Ok that should do it. now you dont need that $1500 soundcard you were looking at cya. |
