Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven!
You have windows XP in use? Make sure that it's fully updated and the chipset drivers are the latest. You have tested the DH Driver Cleaner .NET to get rid of any old driver leftovers? |

Greetings, GADA!
Is this the motherboard you have? Gigabyte GA-7VAX - motherboard - ATX - KT400 : Read reviews and compare prices at Ciao.co.uk If so, this was an early release board to support AGP 8X with a VIA chipset. This may be the first time you've read this, but, these early VIA chipset boards had big issues with ATI AGP video cards. There's a problem in the VIA chipset that needs to be addressed by VIA but has not been addressed as yet. In my own experiences with VIA based motherboards I had too many problems and have avoided VIA based motherboards now for several years. What you can try is this: 1. In BIOS set the AGP from 8X to 4X 2. Turn off Fast Writes in the BIOS 3. Adjust AGP Aperture to various settings until you get...if possible...the most stable selection. I do wish you more luck than what I've had with VIA based motherboards and ATI AGP cards. Now, another possibility is that your PSU may be too weak. 350W is on the borderline and you may need to consider getting a better one. You'll need at least 20A rating on the +12V rail of the PSU. If you have several other devices installed, you need to consider at least 450W PSU with good ratings on the +12V rail/s. |

i try that but still have a problems ... i think this is because drivers or not support direct3d or just not have it or not have proper directx files i need name / link for working drivers for that video card

The problem is that, at this time, AGP support is not consistent. AND, as I pointed out, you're using an older AGP board with a VIA chipset and this only makes matters worse.
Have you installed the latest DirectX? http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en Have you downloaded and installed the newest motherboard and chipset [VIA] drivers for your motherboard? Is your Windows version completely updated with Windows Updates and Patches? These are steps you will need to take in order to hope for a resolution to the problem. BUT, I'm very suspicious of trying to use that newer AGP card in that motherboard. Anyway, good luck! |

Using an older video card on a fairly old motherboard definitely would tend to give a better rate of success.
Let us know how the new Windows installation goes. |

But, I'm going to repeat again what I've said before (and this is backed up by many, many others as well as technical support personnel that I'm not at liberty to name). The VIA chipset on that motherboard is the most likely culprit creating the problem with the ATI video card you have selected to install. I do wish you good luck in getting them to work together. But, from my own past experience trying to get this combination to work together, I prefer to spend my time actually using the computer and playing games instead of pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to make a bad combination work well together. Granted, some people have had success with a combination like this. But, those successes are not usually that easy to come by. Get your rest and hopefully things will be better. |

I did have some excellent success with my own HD 2600XT on a ASUS P5N-E SLI board using nVidia 650i chipset. Do make sure you have the latest updates for the motherboard. And, if you have a SLI board, try using the other slot to see if it works any better.
