Audio Recording PLz Help :)
My buddy is basically building a recording studio. He wants to know what would be better for multi-track recording on PC - Dual Core 3.0 pentium OR 3.0 Hyper-Threading??
And if anyone knows........ Would you recommend AMD 3200+ or Pentium 3.0~ Thanks guys

dual core definately, so for which chip manufacturer, i'd edge towards intel, as it's not a gaming rig, you'd probably save some cash

Look carefully which motherboard you use (sharing issues) and don't get graphics card for games but just good enough to display normal graphics. Also, SATA driver caused audio issues are common with certain controllers (search on Cakewalk/Cubase/etc forums for more information on this matter) . jiitee Last edited by jiiteepee; Mar 4, 2006 at 07:24 AM. |

I'm using a dualcore processor for DAW. It's an AMD X2 3800 overclocked to 2.5ghz and it runs very very well. Nuendo or Pro Tools with lots of plugins is no problems at all.
