Problems with X-Fi Platinum Remote

I re-installed the software that came with the X-Fi, and now my remote has absolutly no function. any1 got the same prob??? any suggestions???

I think you must install media source.

I have the same problem. Volume is working, but other functions (EAX, Crystalizer) on the remote aren't.

btw. why CL didn't include SVM button on the remote? That's a real shame.

In my X-FI card i have not installed the I\O drive at all

I find the remote useless as it is and the I\O just taking case space with functions unneeded unless if you are into music instruments or something

So why did you buy Platinum and spent additional bucks for I\O case with remote which you aren't using?

I\O is nice. I've got DVD, CD-RW and X-Fi I\O bay which takes all of my 5.25 slots, but I don't need any more, and this bay is useful. It has headphone jack with amp and other mono connectors which can be used to connect a camera for example. Really nice even for not musicans.

thats the prob wen i try and re-install the media source... it freezes at lik 24%...rrrr... like the I/O lets me record audio off the TV...

Have you tried completely uninstalling CL stuff (Driver Cleaner) and then making a fresh install?

thx but seems to me quite a bit of ppl hav the same problem with the remote and there is not solution to it *sigh.. so ima jus leave it alone i guess...
