Low Microphone Volume
I have my microphone record volume set to 100% and +20dB boost is on, but it is still very low. With +20dB off, it's incredibly low.
If I put my microphone (headset) any closer to my mouth I would be eating it. I have a Soundblaster Audigy 1 /w some decent headphones (low and high switch for mic). It was infact to loud on my old onboard with volume maxed out, so is there anything I can do? |

I am having the same problem. I am using a SoundBlaster Live! 24-bit card and have used 3 different mics. Each one gives a every low input.
I have used a mic built into a web cam ( USB ) and it worked fine so it has to be the card. is there any way to boost the mic with a 3rd party app or a work around in hidden settings? I have seen a few people talking about this on http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=pcmciasb&message.id=39 http://forums.creative.com/creativel...ssage.id=57333 I do not know if any one has found out anything but any news would be good. |
