System Specs

I have them for DMX 6fire LT (probably same as full)
Name: ASIO for DMX 6fire 24/96
Format: Int32LSB
Channels: (uuuh, can't remember - 12 I think)
Buffer size: selectable
ASIO Output Ready(): (I think not supported)
Sample rate: 11025Hz-96000Hz - Supported
176400Hz and 192000Hz not supported

nForce SoundStorm supports ASIO? Hmmm... I take back what I said. NVIDIA doesn't suck

I would say for sound quality, very comparable to the original Audigy if not a bit better.

Here is some shots of the control panel for everyone's viewing enjoyment.

Very good! I still miss free routing, peaks and summs (which kX has), but very good!
Need to edit thread name a bit - bah, not enough space to add (56k Warning!) thing... anyway.

I think it's a combo of hardware and software. There is support for DLS as well.

One more thing - is upmixing stereo to 5.1 done (CMSS @ Creative)?

It's hard to say. To me it seems like it depends on your speaker settings. If you choose 5.1 it will do it with Direct Sound. However, if you look at the control panel you will see where it says "Create Center Channel". I do think this "up mixing" does sound a lot more natural and real than my previous Audigy 2.

Excellent! Wow! What a quality for integrated soundcard! Actually, let me rephrase - it is free MoBo that you get when you buy soundcard, right?

I never really tried seeing what it could do for recording for the same reason as Riva stated above.

I think you can still test ASIO Playback. And I exactly know how
This (http://www.aikis.or.jp/~otachan/) is japanese page with ASIO plugins - check which latency can you get with Winamp 2/3 (if you still use it *cough*foobar2000*cough*) ASIO playback.
Use ASIO caps to set latency.
P.S.
Can we get a screenshot of ASIO Control Panel of NForce2?

I no longer have the drivers installed for the nforce2 sound. However, I never seen a way to access the ASIO properties under the regular control panel. Using ASIO caps you can bring up a small window with a slider that would let you set latency. The range if I remember right was similar to that of an Audigy 1.

M - Audio Revolution 7.1

Here is the control panel for this card. However, weird thing I noted upon opening the static bag for the card is it had a sticker that said "Delta" Revolution on it.

These drivers of DMX 6fire 24/96 are a bit outdated, newer drivers support GSIF too.
Delta Revolution - it is the full name of the card - I think...

The drivers for the DMX are indeed "very" dated. My friend who has the card has been having a problem with strange quirks and noises in play back. I reloaded his system a few weeks ago and it would happen during any audio playback with any player. However, I tried the typical methods of resolving this issue since I thought it maybe a latency problem. I was stumped about it since at the time he had the latest drivers. Recently he decided to reload the system and used the dated drivers. He does not have the weird buzzs, and clicks with the older drivers. The problem he does have is when he pauses...there is a long prolonged buzzing sound emitted until he un-pauses what he is playing.

Here are some specs.

MSI 6380 w/ KT266 VIA
Promise Ulta TX2 100 IDE Controller

The sound card is not sharing any irq's with any other hardware and I had installed the PCI latency patch but that didn't help anything either. I've read the IDE controller he's using does have issues w/ onboard sound, but there is a patch which may correct this issue. I did download this patch but it didn't help anything either.

I'm thinking it's one of those weird hardware conflicts that you can do nothing about. Right now he's deciding on what he should do and I told him to upgrade his motherboard. The KT266 chipset as we all know pretty much sucked.

WyreTheWolf told me about some hardware problems with VIA 8233(A) southbridge (that are fixed in 8235). Upgrading motherboard (to NForce2, preferably) seems like only solution (in this case, when drivers didn't help).

ASIO Cpanel looks different here... Are you sure he is using .126 drivers?

I don't have a clue what he is using and I assume he's using the drivers from the original CD.
