Need help pls!
I have a sound card issue wich is complicated! I'll start with the beginning :
AMD 64 x2 3800+ 1024mb dual 7600GT SB Live 5.1 (oem SB0220) OR Audigy 2 (i tried both) Ok so the issue i have is basically with my microphone...the rest is just all good i can hear fine! I'm using ventrilo 2.3 and others are hearing a loud background noise and can't hear me talk! I've been using this sound card (sb live 5.1) forever and it always worked fine (my mic) When i had a problem like that, i was always going in Control Panel / Sound and devices / Voice Tab / Test Hardware. Now i run the test and when it goes at the end (b4 i can test my mic) i get an error message like this : An error occured during Directplay setup. The error code is ox80004005. So i've uninstalled my driver coming with my cd...i went to dl the latest version for my driver on the net. ( i had to use ctcomp.exe patch because of my SB0220 model) The driver installed correctly and i got the same problem again. Ive hacked my driver to get audigy2 drivers : still same problem. Ive installed KX drivers..not better! Now i've been searching on the internet for that error code and i did find something. I runed regedit and ive edited Full Duplex Half Duplex and mic Detected to 3-3-2 like it suggests here : http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;810686 No luck again! So i did all those step again after installing my Audigy 2 sound card : same thing with this card. Ive been trying 2 different Mics too but its not a mic problem! So i'm here now after i tried to search for a couple hours on the internet...i saw some have my problem but no one brought a solution to it! ANy help is really appreciated here since ive been all i could do with the best of my knowledge!! TY! |
