Sound Card not detected ?
I am trying to install SB live in my son's computer, and after disabling the onboard sound, I tried to install the software and the drivers for SB live from the CD. While XP recognizes the card and installs its drivers automatically, the Creative CD says 'Sound Card not detected etc' How do I solve this problem, please anyone help
Thanks |

Tried using kX Project drivers? (www.kxproject.com)
Please, it will identify your Live (and this will be best way to understand why).

The problem is that you're letting XP install things automatically. You were supposed to cancel the automatic installation and use ONLY the software on the CD to install the drivers in order for the card to fully function. Also, if you don't like Creative software, you could follow Riva's suggestion.

Just came on one idea...
Is this by any possibilty CT020x or SB020x (Dell OEM Live! cards). If it is, then it requires special driver.
