Audigy2 and Crossover/Bass-redirect with 2003 server?
Hi folks,
I've just installed 2003 server and I've installed the latest set of creative drivers. There is only the audio-console, which doesn't let me set an cross-over frequency for my subwoofer, so it is not used for stereo-sources. Does anybody know of a set of drivers, which let's me access those options for my audigy2 under 2k2-server?? Thank you VERY much!! Don |

No, I did use those drivers for WinXP though. But I think, that creatives surround mixer and speaker-setup applications always had a problem under win2k3.
Isn't there a small control panel, which could work? Or even registry settings for that? Thanks, Don |

The only way to adjust crossover is by using Creative Surroundmixer... which is irritating, as you have to install it from the original driver cd that came with your card. There is an updated version (for XP at least) on Creative's website, but it refuses to install unless you have the old version installed already. Stupid system if you ask me.
I still remember when I downloaded AudioHQ for my Audigy and it refused to install because the original cd version wasn't there. So I installed the version from cd, then ran the downloaded installer for new version, and got a message warning me I had an old version installed so it would remove it completely. LOL. Creative, your driver update system is retarded. Bit of a rant there Can you tell I've been pissed off with them in the past?

I never got the surround-mixer to work under 2k3. (xp-compatible mode wouldn't work either).
I did install the KX-drivers now, they work flawlessly on the 2003 Server, and I have all the options I need. Don |
