Audigy gamer or AC97
I have a Audigy Gamer lying around and am wondering if it would be any better than the ALC850 sound on my Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 mb. I play alot of games BF2, WoW etc. using the on-board sound and haven't used creative for awile. The last board i had had SoundStorm and it was excellent, I'm not that impressed with the Realtech AC97 though.
Has Creative sorted their drivers out, what should i install off their install CD? Should i even use their install CD?!. I'm trying to avoid some of the bloat i remember from previous installs and would like EAX support and maby the CP i think. Thank you for your time |

Well, Went with the drivers off the web site and they work like a charm. The Audigy Gamer sounds much better then the AC97. The Creative positional 3D sounds are alot better too.
Appreciate the help EnPassant |
