Hi,
I got a Audigy 2 ZS Platinum card and I was wandering after I read alot of posts regarding softmodding into an Audigy 4, is the trouble to do that tedious installation actually worth the benefits if I do it?

Ya it's worth modding it download pax 2.32sp 2 set then download pax 2.33 driver set
make sure you installed software first before the drivers

may I ask how it actually works? (still a little doubtful) or is it just installing audigy 4 software/drivers onto previous audigy hardware?

It updates the WMD hack then it read audigy 2 to audigy 4

Robert McClelland i am curious of this as well. i have the same card with the most updated drivers for my sound card. What steps do i need to take to do to softmodding into an Audigy 4? Thanks

Ok, however I'm also wondering that isn't the audigy 2 zs and audigy 4 using the same drivers. I looked on the creative website, and its got the same driver versions. Other than audigy 4 has a better SNR, I can't really see the difference between the two. As I've read, the audigy line are all basicaly the same technology, so what actual benefits do I get by performing this softmod (that are actually noticable). Does the audigy 4 actually have more programs/software than the audigy 2 zs? Oh and does it have a better remote program? Because THIS one is absolute shocking. In order for me to use it with other softwares, I need to go through the remote OSD which is so slow and takes up the whole screen...
