there are quite a few USB soundcards that support ASIO, and although most are USB2, they should be backwards compatible. Though you won't get 24/96 sound due to bandwidth limitations
not sure if your average computer shop would stock them, so check out music shops for brands like m-audio, behringer, tascam, terratec etc or if you don't want a semi-pro or pro grade card, download ASIO4ALL, which should work on all consumer cards
