??? The Best XP drivers for SBLive!Value

Hi Guys,
Recently i strated to wonder which are the best drivers for SBLive Value under XP.I read a lot of posts in this forum but i just couldn't find the answer i was looking for.I have installed the whole software pack from Compaq ,but i don't like the sound with them.Later I installed the 3512 WDM drivers and the things got a lot better. But i think they might get even better.Anyone got any suggestions?

I have a SB Live! 5.1, and now got the new Audigy2 .324 drivers to work
See my post in another thread to see how: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/showthre...3014#post93014

Trust me, they may work fine but the original XP drivers appear to give the best performance and quality, though there are some mod'd drivers which you can find in that thread that RIV@NVX posted

Yeah I'd probably agree as the Kx drivers have matured and are SWEET!

Full Set of LiveWare3:
1. English (Default), Brazilian, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish; 334MB
2. English (Default), Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese; 217MB

LiveWare3 WinXP Update: English

WDM Drivers v35.12: English (double-click on "upddrv2k.exe" to install)

(I have an English-only set of LiveWare3 which is around 57MB, and I will be happy to upload it if anyone is willing to host.)

But are the kx drivers good for games and do they support EAX?

I would say that they are great for games, they do not guarantee FULL EAX support. Though I'am still to find a game that did have any problems with the Kx drivers.

At the end of the day if you dont like them, you can un-install them.

Just go back to creative then, to bad about that. If EAX is really important then I'd recommend the latest Creative soundblaster drivers from their site.

I had that problem too, does your mobo have an inbuilt sound card ?? if so make sure it is completely disabled in bios.

gibbon565 > I think it has more to do with the quality of Creative's drivers (or lack thereof) than a build-in sound.

Barbarian > You can find v5.12.1.3512 in my second post from last page

Note: If you don't want to download the whole set of LiveWare3, you can just install the WinXP Update (9.03 MB; contains AudioHQ + Surround Mixer + v5.12.1.3509.2) and then update the drivers to v5.12.1.3512 (4.55 MB). This combination (along with the two LiveWare3 sets) can be used by all SB Live! users.
