Confused about SB Live! 5.1 driver choices
Thank you for reading. I am running a SB Live! 5.1 Digital (SB0220) and have been searching and reading the forums for almost 2 hours now and am totally confused about the best driver option for my needs. I am primarally a gamer and was wondering if I can get DX9c support for my soundcard by using a modded or hacked driver intended for a newer card (X-Fi ?, Audigy ?), or if some other solution is better. On my budget its tough to drop cash for a new sound card. Heck, I bought the Live! 5.1 in 2005. I didn't realize at the time that the latest driver Creative offered was dated 2002. Any help rendered would be greatly appreciated.
