Get X-RAM hacked!!!
What Im gonna do is to get your X-Fi XtremeMusic or Platinum work with 64MB X-RAM...actually it modds your X-Fi XtremeMusic to X-Fi Fatality FPS.
I cant guarantee I definitely get this done but there is 90% possibility with my clues and information grabed. What I need is a BIOS file of X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS. I appreciate anyone who can give it to me. There is general procedures Im gonna do with modding: 1, Replace the X-RAM with a PC133 64Mb chip. a, solder PC133 2mb out; b, solder 64mb on 2, Flash BIOS of Xtreme; a, get BIOS chip out of PCB using hot-air-gun b, flash the BIOS chip with Flashing machine 3, Get a Platinum drive bay connected (without drive bay, Sound card still work) For modding, there seems will be little point in it to getting it to be more complicated. You may PM me or post reply or com to www.youp-pax.org for the BIOS. Many thanks! Edit: BTW, EEPROM of CT0460, ie. "CSI 24FC32W1 0540D" classic leon

It would be hard to do for a normal person.
Soldering out RAM and then soldering in another one on that place is IMO difficult to do in home environment. |

Yes, I agree with you.
I found this very early but This thread wasn't posted out until a bunch of guys post telling they wanna get RAM unlocked. Unfortunately none of them posts reply to the thread after Im ready to get it done while Im not busy. Edit: Tip for hardmod at home 1, get a Hot-air-gun. something like this 2, get a searing-iron. This stuff's been widely used I don't have to mention too much. 3, get an EEPROM Flash IC Programmer. Something like this: Model ALL-11C2

I believe that this third one is the most expensive.
