onboard so low and crap..what gives!

so i have a8n mvp deluxe mobo and it runs great/

but i go to play condemned and sounds are misssing. i checked out all of the forums regarding the issue. also my sound was SO LOW..i had everything maxed out. i even had an amp (software videolan) running..still garbage and low.

now my speakers suck 3w per speaker lol so thats understandable..but i use my headphones which are decent (not crazy).

i just installed my 4yr old sound blaster pci 128..and it rocks!

so what the heck is the prob with onboard? the mobo uses a realtek HD audio 5.1

game on.

basically im sticking with creative.

the soundblaster pci 128 has a jumper that lets you set the output from line level, to headphone amp - it's prob ably set to h/p amp which is why it will sound louder

plus onboard sound is well, crap, as you said

yeah its junk, i happy with the SB

creative gets bashed but dammit i really enjoy their products!

well you really need upgraded to audigy 2 6.1 sound card they should be cheap now

and you can modded them with pax drivers.
