Audigy LS (SE)

For gods sake.

These f**king creative drivers currently bothering me again. I get various artifacts and amusing problems. Is there any kind of 3rd party drivers which I dont know? I need some kind of replacement/improvement.

And besides creative drivers are about 4 1/2 years old ........

I just read that those ZS cards are bullshit because they use the CPU for handling Audio Tasks instead of using an APU. In that case I'd like a recommendation for a new Audio Card. Budget ~ 80€

EDIT: If possible, this audio card should be compatible with my future PC. I plan to buy one in about an year or sth like that.

The Audigy 2 ZS is the upgraded Audigy 2. It is not a bad card. Neither is Audigy SE, Audigy 2 Value, Audigy 4 Value, or the plain Audigy 4.

What you don't want to own is Audigy Value, Audigy SE, Audigy LS, Audigy 2 SE, Live 24-bit, or anything USB. If you bought one of those, you did so without reading because they are basically host-processed AC97 codecs with some software DSP code for limited EAX support. They probably have decent output quality though.

just to clarify the above post: the Audigy ES will work with these hacked drivers, as it is a true Audigy card, however the SE probably won't
