New SB X-Fi Extreme Music. Drivers?

As the title already tells you, I'll get myself a new soundcard. Is there any modded driver or optimized driver you can recommend?

There aren't modded drivers for X-Fi so use newest creative drivers...

It's nice, good in games, music and videos =) I'm using headphones so I don't know how the 5.1 and 7.1 setup's works ... Only down thing that I can say is that Linux drives will come out 2007 Q2 :P

They're based off the latest 3.33 Youp Pax, and work perfectly. I use them myself, though as always I fail to see any difference between stock drivers and these. If you want better/modded X-Fi drivers though, these are your only bet.

I have an x-fi extreme music, too. For testing purposes I tried youp pax 2.33 but they didn't work with my x-fi, but I can't tell anything about version 3.33. For me the 24 bit crystalizer is the feature that makes the difference and would be my reason for an upgrade. If you are looking for a really good upmixing algorithm cmss 3d is the way to go. cmss 3d sound really better than any other upmixing I've heard so far, but I still prefer 2xstereo for listening to stereo music, so this is no reason for upgrading to me. Guys, modded X-Fi drivers are not for X-Fi ;-) They are modded to be used with A2 and/or SB Live!

Btw. don't buy X-Fi if you want some decent drivers. X-Fi drivers sucks hard, and Creative does nothing to change it. Better stay with Audigy 2 and kX drivers.

Well, its too late to redecide and I suppose there will be releases of modded X-Fi drivers. At least I hope there will be. Is it possible to ask those kX dudes?
