DigiFire Problem
hello i was wondering if anyone else out there has had this problem i am having. every other time my computer starts up in device manager the firewire ports that come with the digifire has a yellow exclamation next to it. it does it on just about every other reboot or startup. i've tried everything from putting it in a different pci slot to reinstalling windows. i have already had to return this card once because of opening up the first card and finding that the pins were all bent. i just never have good luck with compusa stuff.

i'm guessing you didn't install the drivers for the port properly? did it come with drivers specifically for the port?

windows xp comes with the ohci compliant ieee host controller driver. i do not need to install other drivers as this was recommended by hercules for this card. i spoke with their tech support and apparently (as i was kinda wondering) it has something to do with the virtual clonecd scsi drive i have installed to play games from my hard drive. apparently scsi drives or devices have problems with firewire. kinda makes sense after thinking about it considering firewire is a type of scsi device.
